Can products built in India succeed in US? People in US, like everywhere, have to love, derive happiness, cope with grief, reduce anger, control anxiety and deal with stress. Humans can NOT avoid responding to certain emotions. When you are building a product/service, think of the basic emotion that you are satisfying.
Take the example of the director, of block buster Indian movies, SS. Rajamouli. He creates emotions among his audience and makes them respond to those emotions. His target audience are children near his native town in India. He knows, initimately, how to create emotions which make them cry, laugh, root for their heroes and dance. Can he create the same emotions for folks in US, Japan or Korea?
Rajamouli directed movie – RRR was screened last year at the Chinese Theater in Los Angles. Was the director able to create the same emotions for purely American audience? Why are folks dancing like they do in India? Watch for yourself.
Can you make people believe in your product? Does it matter where the product is made? Can you use the talent from any where in the world? Does Mr. Rajamouli or his team need a H-1 Visa to make RRR? Obviously not.
Build your product/feature that people can NOT avoid using, in order to respond to their core emotions.
